How much does a custom sauna cost?

A custom sauna is priced from its drawings rather than from a catalogue, so the scope has to be fixed before any figure means anything. The variables that move a budget most are the number of rooms and their internal volume, the heater load and the electrical supply it needs, how much tanking and waterproofing sits behind the finishes, the ventilation rate and where the ducts and plant can run, the plant room area available for the equipment, the timber and marble specification, and whether the mechanical and electrical interface is in our scope or the main contractor's. Once the room schedule, the built area and that interface are agreed, we issue a priced scope against them.

How long does a custom sauna installation take?

A complete custom sauna project, including manufacturing and installation, typically takes 6-10 weeks. Sauna Dekor's process covers engineering and design, custom manufacturing at our Istanbul facility, and on-site installation. Larger commercial projects like hotel spas may extend to 12-16 weeks based on scope.

Do you ship and install internationally?

Yes. Sauna Dekor designs, manufactures and installs custom saunas, hammams and steam rooms in 35+ countries. Manufacturing is at our own facility in Istanbul, and installation is carried out in our scope alongside the local main contractor. Our offices are in Istanbul (headquarters), Dubai and Boston, and we work with residential clients, hotels, resorts and wellness facilities across the Middle East, Europe, North America and Asia.

What is the difference between a Finnish sauna and a steam room?

A Finnish sauna operates at 80-100°C with low humidity (10-20%), using dry heat from heated stones. A steam room runs cooler at 40-50°C but with 100% humidity, generated by a steam generator. Sauna Dekor designs both, often as combined wellness suites for spa and residential projects.

What materials do you use in your saunas?

Sauna Dekor uses Nordic spruce, Scandinavian pine, Western red cedar, thermo-treated aspen and African abachi wood for benches and walls. Stones include Finnish olivine and peridotite. For hammams we use marble, travertine and Turkish glass mosaic, with all materials selected for durability in a wet, high-temperature environment.

Do you provide warranty and after-sales support?

Sauna Dekor provides a standard 2-year warranty on all custom installations, covering structural integrity, heating systems, and electrical components. Our team offers ongoing maintenance, replacement parts, and technical support through offices in Istanbul, Dubai, and Boston, ensuring long-term performance for residential and commercial projects.

Can you design custom hammams for hotels and spas?

Yes. Sauna Dekor designs and manufactures hammams for hotels, resorts and commercial spas. Since 1987 we have delivered hammams for hotel wellness centres, private members' clubs and destination spas in 35+ countries. Each hammam is engineered for high-volume use, with the marble, heating, ventilation and drainage details drawn before fabrication.
